![]() The cheesy corn was a can of corn mixed in with their soapy queso. The mashed potatoes were literally just that.a potato mashed with zero seasonings and no fluff. I chose poorly with the chicken finger dinner - as it was served with mashed potatoes and white gravy. The bbq Rangoon's were cold and flavorless. The chips and queso tasted like soap.I don't even understand how that is possible. A friend picked this place out to try and somehow ALL the food we ordered was absolutely terrible. I may give them a try in a few months once they have a few more months under their belt.Wow. I know that some of the areas I mention can be chaulked up to growing pains, but with all the great BBQ joints across Johnson County, I know I will most likely be venturing to my usual haunts next time I have a hankering for BBQ. BTW - Our total ticket for a 1/2 lb of burnt ends, one side of fries, and my wife's sandwich came in a just under $36 w/o tax. It was served in a 12 oz pilzner glass at the average price of $5. My glass of house cab was served in a very small glass, probably around 3 oz. The beer and wine list was pretty basic, and not cheap either. Most had a generous layer of fat on them. They were not tough, but not overly tender either. They were about 1/2" square in size, smaller than I prefer. I guess they only have them four days a week. I am glad I asked about them as they were not even on the menu. ![]() This may be the right level of spice for some folks, but not for us. I ended up eating the bulk of her sandwich, but even with my tolerance for spice, i had to drown it in their mild sweet sauce to offset the heat. I can't say for sure, but I don't know if there was an indication of this on the menu or not. Unfortunately, the sauce was their hot flavor, made with habanero peppers. My wife had the Fire Chief sandwich, which was a blend of brisket, pulled pork, and burnt ends, served up in sauce.
